We got amazing value for our money at this charming old farmhouse in the Karoo. The room was beautifully decorated and the location was fantastic, surrounded by comfortable sitting areas and a lovely swimming pool. The staff treated us like family and made us feel extremely welcome.

The morning meal could have been improved with more variety.

The Karoo Lodge at Samara was charming and welcoming, with beautiful decor and friendly staff. The ranger, Jan, was knowledgeable and made our wildlife experience great. The swimming pool and outdoor area were lovely. The preservation efforts were inspiring.

Nothing not too like.

I chose this hotel for attending a brainstorming session because it provides preference for "active babysitting" - meeting the tortoises that meander onto the lodge lawn and exploring the garden.

The one service that I missed for my work was a reliable and fast internet connection.

They were hospitable, kind, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable experience. the game drives were informative and varied, with different routes and the chance to see sought-after animals. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool and observing the wildlife at the water hole. our stay at this property exceeded all expectations and will be cherished forever. Cons: Not obvious to find.
