The Karoo Lodge at Samara was charming and welcoming, with beautiful decor and friendly staff. The ranger, Jan, was knowledgeable and made our wildlife experience great. The swimming pool and outdoor area were lovely. The preservation efforts were inspiring.
Nothing not too like.

I chose this hotel for attending a brainstorming session because it provides preference for "active babysitting" - meeting the tortoises that meander onto the lodge lawn and exploring the garden.
The one service that I missed for my work was a reliable and fast internet connection.

Incredible service and luxurious rooms made our weekend stay truly fantastic. The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The beautiful lodge provided a sense of privacy and the surrounding mountains created a breathtaking backdrop. The game drives were a highlight, offering close encounters with various animals, including cheetahs, giraffes, and elephants. The food was delicious and locally sourced, and we were always pleasantly surprised by the dessert options.
The quality of the lunch and dinner, which did not meet our expectations. More care should be taken in the selection and preparation of the meals, considering the location and price of the property.
